CME 2026 ASLMS 45th Annual Conference Recordings - Skin of Color: Best Practices for Lasers and EBD

The course was recorded on May 8, 2026, at the ASLMS Annual Conference.

Course Description: Medical lasers and energy-based devices are relatively under-utilized on patients with skin of color due to concerns regarding risk of pigmentary and other complications in Fitzpatrick skin phototypes IV-VI.

Medical lasers and energy-based devices can be used safely and effectively to treat a range of dermatologic concerns in patients with skin of color.

Careful selection of device type, settings, pre-and post-procedure precautions are key to optimizing outcomes for energy-based treatments in skin of color.
