Dr. Halaas is double board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Halaas is a Key Opinion Leader and international speaker for major aesthetic brands as well as a clinical investor for new treatments. In addition, she is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Halaas specializes in facelifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and in the evaluation and treatment of hair loss in women and men, and the near-incisionless follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedure. Her nationally accredited facility offers a full range of facial plastic surgery procedures and she is a nationally certified OR inspector. Thomas M. Beachkofsky, MD, FAAD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist (American Board of Dermatology) and serves as the Director of the Cutaneous Rehabilation Clinic at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and received his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Subsequently he completed his internship and residency in Dermatology in San Antonio, Texas all while serving on Active Duty as an Officer in the United States Air Force. During training he was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honors society and earned accolades as the distinguished graduate from his transitional internship and served as Chief Resident of his dermatology training program.

He is an experienced medical and procedural dermatologist as well as clinical researcher with extensive training and experience with the use of lasers, lights and energy-based devices. He is an internationally recognized expert and has lectured on the use of such devices around the world and published his work in multiple textbooks and over 35 peer reviewed journals articles. He is most well-known for his experience with the use of ablative lasers for the treatment of burns, scars and extensive sun damaged skin and currently operates 30+ devices in his clinic. He is passionate about the care of veterans, wounded warriors and amputees and in 2020 was awarded the Henry M. Jackson Foundation Hero of Military Medicine. His current research is focused on rehabilitating scars in the amputee population and restoring the form and function of aging skin.

Jeanine Downie, MD

Jeanine B. Downie, MD is board certified and is the director of image Dermatology P.C. in Montclair, N.J. She has extensive training and experience in all aspects of dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, laser and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Downie received her Bachelor of
Science degree in Biology and Psychology. She has a Masters of Arts degree from American University and her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY- Health Science Center at Brooklyn. She then completed her Dermatology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where she was the Chief Resident. She is on staff at Mountainside Hospitals and Overlook Hospitals and has published 106 papers. Dr. Downie has been honored repeatedly by Castle Connolly as one of New York Metropolitans’ Top Doctors.
Dr. Downie is a medical consultant for The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Early Show, The Dr. Oz Show and Ten Years Younger. She has been featured on The Wendy Williams Show, The View, The Rachael Ray Show, MSNBC and many others. She is a highly sought after lecturer who enjoys an excellent national and international reputation. Dr. Downie consults, lectures and performs FDA and investigator-initiated clinical trials for many of the top tier pharmaceutical companies.
Her YouTube show is YouTube.com/The Gist Show. Dr. Downie and four of her board-certified dermatologist friends decided that they wanted to put credible information together and discuss both cosmetic dermatology and general dermatology.
Her newspaper and magazine credits include USA Today, The New York Times, In Style, Allure, Prevention, The Oprah Winfrey Magazine, New Beauty and Essence, among others. Her first book, Beautiful Skin of Color, is a comprehensive skin care guide for Asian, Olive and Dark Skin (Harper Collins 2004). Dr. Downie is currently working on her second book.

Brian S. Biesman, MD, FACS, is the Director of his practice in Nashville, Tennessee, where he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis.
Dr. Biesman earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He completed an ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago, Illinois. He then completed a fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York City. He returned to Illinois to serve as chief resident of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Biesman has been published widely in peer-reviewed journals and has lectured extensively throughout the country. His research interests include optimizing and expanding the use of existing soft tissue fillers, exploring novel injectable fillers, optimizing energy-based devices for aesthetic applications, developing and testing novel energy-based devices, developing and testing cosmeceuticals, and developing combination therapy techniques for rejuvenation of the body and face. He also is actively pursuing novel treatments for acne, hyperhidrosis, syringomas, xanthelasma, and other dermatologic disorders. He is a principal investigator in many industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials and has published extensively in the peer-reviewed literature.
Dr. Biesman is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, among others. He has been recognized for his Excellence in Education by the ASLMS and received the Henry Baylis Lectureship Award from ASOPRS.
