Dr. Lilit Garibyan is a board-certified, practicing dermatologist and Associate Professor of dermatology at Harvard Medical School and Physician-Scientist at Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has expertise in cutting edge translational research in areas of device development, dermatology, cutaneous neurobiology, adipose tissue, and immunology. She has spent 20+ years at Harvard Medical School, where she has taught and trained students, residents and fellows in dermatology, laser and energy-based devices, and in problem-based innovation. Her research focuses on innovative biomedical translational discoveries aimed at identifying unmet medical needs and working with multidisciplinary teams to develop novel treatments for those needs. Dr. Garibyan is an inventor on >16 pending and granted patents, has published over 60 original, peer-reviewed publications and has obtained over $5.3 million grant funding from Department of Defense and NIH for her innovative research. She is the inventor of a platform cooling technology with various therapeutic applications that has led to three venture-backed, start-up companies. She is the scientific co-founder of two of those companies.
Dr. Garibyan is the co-founder and the Director of the “Magic Wand Initiative” and the “Virtual Magic Wand” programs, which teach the process of innovation to clinicians. These internationally-recognized programs empower, engage, and teach healthcare professionals on how to identify unmet needs and collaborate to identify and implement solutions to problems. Dr Garibyan has given many national and international lectures on the topic of engaging clinicians in problem-based innovation. She had directed sessions and led workshops in national and international meetings designed to engage healthcare workers in innovation.
Dr. Garibyan received her B.S. summa cum laude from University of California Los Angeles, her M.D. from Harvard Medical School, and her Ph.D. from Harvard University in Experimental Pathology/Immunology.
Yona Tadir (Moderator)
Developed the concept of Minimally Invasive, intra-abdominal/Pelvic Laser Surgery, and the World’s 1st Laser Laparoscope (1980) and Laser Hysteroscope (1984). Developed the World’s 1st Laser based system for Gamete Micro-Manipulations in Assisted Reproduction/IVF (since 1991).
Developed treatment protocols for PDT in Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia (CIN). Developed treatment protocols for Energy-Based Vaginal Rejuvenation. (Since 2016).

Thomas Milner, PhD (Moderator)

Thomas Milner is the Director of the Beckman Laser Institute and Medical Clinic and a Professor in the Department of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering. Milner co-invented the dynamic cooling device that is used on laser dermatological surgical instruments worldwide. He is one of the early developers of optical coherence tomography - a diagnostic imaging technology used clinically in ophthalmology and cardiology. He is the recipient of the Coherent Young Investigator Award, numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health, and Inventor of the Year at the University of Texas at Austin. He is an inventor of 55 issued U.S. patents and five international patents that have been licensed to six companies. He is a co-founder of CardioSpectra and Dermalucent. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles and twelve book chapters. Milner is a member of the National Academy of Inventors, and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery.

David M. Ozog, currently serves as Chair, Department of Dermatology and holds the C.S. Livingood Chair in Dermatology, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. He is also an active Mohs surgeon and Director of Cosmetic Dermatology. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where he was a James B. Angell 4.0 GPA Scholar, completed post baccalaureate work at Bryn Mawr in Philadelphia and his medical degree from University of Rochester Medical School, Rochester, New York, where he was awarded AOA honors society. He completed his dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, in Detroit, where he served as Chief Resident. His Mohs, Cosmetic and Procedural fellowship was with Dr. Ron Moy at UCLA Medical Center and Moy-Fincher Medical Group, in Beverly Hills, CA. He has published more than 90 articles and book chapters and has given hundreds of lectures nationally and internationally in various facets of procedural dermatology. His textbook, co-edited with Joel Cohen, Botulinum Toxins: Cosmetic and Clinical Applications, was published in 2017. Dr Ozog has directed sessions at the American Academy of Dermatology's annual meeting for several years. He was a member of the AAD coding committee, and he currently serves on the AAD Scientific Assembly Committee for a six-year term. He is scheduled to chair both Summer and Annual AAD meetings. He is also an editorial board member of JAMA Dermatology and an assistant editor of Dermatologic Surgery. His active research interests include cutaneous oncology, scarring prevention and treatment, botulinum toxins, as well as laser delivery for cosmetic and malignant conditions. He has trained more than 76 residents in dermatological surgery and was chosen by the residents as “Teacher of the Year.” Dr Ozog has taught hands on workshops nationally for the American Society for Dermatological Surgery, and he is co-director of the cadaver lab at Henry Ford. He enjoys biking and spending time with his wife Dawnmarie and their three children. Although his research group successfully pivoted to COVID work during the pandemic, he is thrilled to return to lasers and oncology, leaving spike proteins behind (hopefully forever).

Merete Haedersdal, MD, PhD, DMSc is a clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and director of the Danish Research Center for Skin Cancer. She is a visiting scientist at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, focusing on the project “Laser-Assisted Drug Delivery” in collaboration with Dr. R. Rox Anderson and his team. Dr. Haedersdal received her MD degree from the Medical School program of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and was authorized as a specialist in dermato-venereology in 2004. Dr. Haedersdal received her PhD degree in 1997 and became Dr. of Medical Science in 1999. Her theses covered aspects of side effects from dermatological laser procedures in animal and human experimental studies. Professor Haedersdal has published more than 250 scientific papers and lectures internationally. Her research team focuses on translational medicine in the field of lasers and energy-based devices in dermatology, imaging-guided procedures, fractional laser-assisted drug delivery, photodynamic therapy, and treatment of skin cancer with light-based devices in combination with topically applied drugs.

Albert Wolkerstorfer works as dermatologist at the Netherlands Institute for Pigment Disorders/Department of Dermatology, Amsterdam University Medical Centre (The Netherlands). Roy G. Geronemus, M.D., Director of the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York®, graduated from Harvard University and pursued his medical education at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
He trained in dermatology at the New York University Medical Center where he was the chief resident and subsequently underwent a fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. He is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at New York University Medical Center where he founded its laser program and served nine years as chief of dermatologic and laser surgery. He is past president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, New York Dermatological Society, Dermatologic Society of Greater New York and Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons. Dr. Geronemus is the Chairman of the Board of the New York Stem Cell Foundation.
The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery has awarded Dr. Geronemus with the Ellet Drake award for outstanding contributions to laser medicine and the Leon Goldman award for excellence in clinical laser research. The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) has awarded him the Samuel J. Stegman award for distinguished service and the Vic Narurkar, M.D., Innovations in Aesthetic Dermatology Lectureship Award.
The University of Miami School of Medicine has elected him into their alumni Hall of Fame. He has received the Physician of the Year honor from the Vascular Birthmark Foundation and was also awarded their Humanitarian Award in 2014.
Dr. Geronemus has published over 400 medical articles, chapters and books. He has been involved with the development of multiple new laser systems and therapeutic techniques, which are now commonly used throughout the world.Christopher B. Zachary, MBBS, FRCP (Moderator)
Dr. Christopher B. Zachary, MBBS, FRCP, is a dermatologist specializing in cutaneous oncology and reconstruction, cosmetic and laser surgery, and is Professor and Chair Emeritus, department of dermatology, University of California-Irvine. Dr. Zachary is often featured as an invited speaker at national and international symposia and is sought out by the media (e.g. NY Times, CNN, and Today Show) for his candid comments. His ability to critique has drawn some ire, but so far his humor and English accent have saved him from his detractors. His interest in lasers has led to considerable industry supported research in optimal systems for cutaneous laser surgery. He has been the program director for the Mohs College and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Annual Conferences. He is a past president of the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons. He is an educational innovator having founded the internet based e-Learning site www.MDlive.net. He has written and edited his share of papers and books.
Dr. Zachary was born in Yorkshire, England, and educated at Ratcliffe College, Leicester, United Kingdom. Following his medical school education at the Royal Free Hospital, University of London, he subsequently trained in internal medicine and dermatology. During his time at the Institute of Dermatology, Guys and St. Thomas' Hospitals, he gained an interest in dermatologic surgery. His formal surgical education was received at the department of dermatology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He returned to the United Kingdom in 1986 to set up the first Mohs and laser surgery unit in London. In 1988 he was recruited to the department of dermatology, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, as director of the Cutaneous Surgery and Laser Center where he spent the next 9 years. In 1997, he sold his boat and lakeside cabin, and moved West, to the University of California, San Francisco, where he spent 9 splendid years with his friend and colleague Roy Grekin, M.D. as clinical professor and co-director of the Cutaneous Surgery and Laser Center, UCSF, San Francisco. In 2005, he accepted the position as Professor and Chair, department of dermatology at the University of California-Irvine where he currently resides. In 2020 he stepped down from the Chair position, and remains full time in the department. This and his family are his main current projects.

Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency and dermatologic surgical fellowship at New York University Medical Center. He has served as President as well as Chairman of both the Ethics and International Committees of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Goldberg was the first ever recipient of the ASLMS Leon Goldman award named after the founder of laser medicine. He is past Chair of the Ethics Committee of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Goldberg is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology and former Director of Laser Research and Mohs Surgery at NY’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is also Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Chief of Dermatologic Surgery at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He has published over 170 peer-reviewed manuscripts and is author and/or editor of 15 books on Laser Hair Removal; Ablative and Non-ablative Skin Rejuvenation; Photodamaged Skin, Complications in Cutaneous Laser Surgery, Acne, Rosacea, Fat and Cellulite Treatments as well as Dermal Fillers in Dermatology . Dr. Goldberg has performed pivotal research studies in the areas of laser hair removal, non-ablative skin treatments, cellulite and skin tightening, erectile rejuvenation, dermal fillers and new botulinum toxins. He is on the editorial boards of the Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and Dermatologic Surgery. He has served as Senior Chief-Editor of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy. Dr. Goldberg is also an attorney having graduated from NY’s Fordham University School of Law where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law and has taught a course entitled “Advances in Health Care Law.” He currently writes a monthly column entitled Legal Eagle for Dermatology Times.
Finally, in 2020, Dr. Goldberg merged his 3 office practice with the Schweiger Dermatology Group (SDG). SDG is the largest dermatology group in the NY/NJ/PA region and the 4th largest dermatology group in the US. Dr. Goldberg currently serves as the Director of Cosmetic Dermatology and Clinical Research for their over 75 SDG offices.
Emil Tanghetti, MD
Dr. Tanghetti is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Tanghetti has been active in clinical studies for more than 20 years and is an internationally recognized speaker and consultant. His research interests focus on laser surgery, psoriasis, actinic keratosis, photo aging and acne vulgaris. Merete Haedersdal, MD, PhD, DSMc
Merete Haedersdal, MD, PhD, DMSc is a clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and director of the Danish Research Center for Skin Cancer. She is a visiting scientist at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, focusing on the project “Laser-Assisted Drug Delivery” in collaboration with Dr. R. Rox Anderson and his team. Dr. Haedersdal received her MD degree from the Medical School program of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and was authorized as a specialist in dermato-venereology in 2004. Dr. Haedersdal received her PhD degree in 1997 and became Dr. of Medical Science in 1999. Her theses covered aspects of side effects from dermatological laser procedures in animal and human experimental studies. Professor Haedersdal has published more than 250 scientific papers and lectures internationally. Her research team focuses on translational medicine in the field of lasers and energy-based devices in dermatology, imaging-guided procedures, fractional laser-assisted drug delivery, photodynamic therapy, and treatment of skin cancer with light-based devices in combination with topically applied drugs.

Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi is the founding and medical director of the Connecticut Skin Institute. Elizabeth Tanzi, MD, FAAD
Elizabeth Tanzi, M.D. is an internationally-known author and lecturer on cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous laser surgery. She is the Founder and Director of Capital Laser and Skin Care in suburban Washington, D.C. Dr. Tanzi graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Biochemistry from Hartwick College in New York. She pursued her medical education at Syracuse University School of Medicine where she graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society at the top of her class. Dr. Tanzi completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University, St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York where she served as chief resident. Dr. Jason Pozner is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of numerous medical societies. Weiss, MD, FAAD has served as President of three major dermatology and laser organizations and has served or is currently serving on Medical Advisory Boards of numerous companies in the aesthetic dermatology field. He is former Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and currently is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Maryland. Dr. Suzanne Linsmeier Kilmer is the Founder of the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California, a Clinical Professor at the University of California, Davis, and past president of ASLMS. She completed her M.D. degree and dermatology residency at U.C. Davis Medical Center. She then moved east for a laser surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Wellman Laboratories of Photomedicine to train with Rox Anderson, M.D. She remained at Harvard as a faculty member for two more years, researching the use of Q-switched lasers for the treatment of tattoos and pigmented lesions and the rapidly pulsed CO2 lasers now popular for resurfacing.

Paul M. E. Victor Ross, MD
E. Victor Ross, M.D., CAPT MC, USN (ret) attended Mississippi State University where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in physics. He obtained his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine where he was a junior year inductee into Alpha Omega Alpha. Following internship, Dr. Ross went to Sasebo, Japan as a General Medical Officer. In 1992, he completed a three-year dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. In 1994, he was the first Navy-sponsored fellow in photomedicine and lasers at the Massachusetts General Hospital. While there, he conducted basic research experiments and human clinical trials in photodynamic therapy and novel laser applications in dermatology. He was honored as the 2001 Navy Recipient of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Award for excellence in Military Medicine.
Dr. Ross is presently the director of the Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Center at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He also served on the boards of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (president in 2008), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. His special interests are fractional laser skin rejuvenation, photodynamic therapy, non-ablative skin remodeling, laser management of scars, laser treatment of acne, and laser hair reduction in dark skinned patients. Arisa E. Ortiz, MD
Arisa E. Ortiz, M.D. is the Director of Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology, and an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Diego. She received training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at UC San Diego and also completed the prestigious cosmetic and laser fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Wellman Center for Photomedicine. Dr. Ortiz completed her dermatology residency training at UC Irvine and Beckman Laser Institute. She has authored over fifty publications and several book chapters. Dr. Ortiz also coedited a textbook on surgical reconstruction. Dr. A. Jay Burns has enjoyed a successful practice in Dallas for over 30 years. He graduated with high honors from Baylor University undergraduate and University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He was board certified in general surgery training the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals in Salt Lake City followed by a plastic surgery residency at University of Texas Southwestern. He has been a national spokesperson for both societies and served as Traveling Professor for the Aesthetic Society for the years 2001 to 2003. In addition, he is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. His expert opinions are sought out regularly by multiple media sources. He was featured on the Oprah Winfrey “Medical Miracles” show. Dr. Burns has been voted numerous times by his peers D Magazine’s “Best Doctors”, including the last 7 years from 2017 to 2023. Elizabeth Tanzi, MD, FAAD
Elizabeth Tanzi, M.D. is an internationally-known author and lecturer on cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous laser surgery. She is the Founder and Director of Capital Laser and Skin Care in suburban Washington, D.C. Dr. Tanzi graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Biochemistry from Hartwick College in New York. She pursued her medical education at Syracuse University School of Medicine where she graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society at the top of her class. Dr. Tanzi completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University, St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York where she served as chief resident. Dr. Tanzi works closely with multiple medical societies to support the progress of dermatologic laser and device-based surgery. She served on the Executive Board as Secretary of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery from 2012-2015 after completing three years on their Board of Directors. She actively serves on the Development and Industry Advisory Counsel for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Tanzi has published over 50 original medical articles and chapters and has been involved with the development of several new laser systems and therapeutic techniques that are now used routinely by physicians around the world. She is an annual invited speaker at the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She actively serves as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, Journal of Cutaneous Laser Therapy, and The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and serves as an editor for Dermatologic Surgery. Throughout her career, she has received numerous honors and awards for her work in the field of dermatologic surgery including the Cutting Edge Research Grant from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Writing Competition, and the chairperson of the Dermatology/Plastic Surgery section for the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery Annual Meeting in 2006 and 2012. Her contributions to the field of dermatology and laser surgery have been featured in many media outlets including The Today Show, Good Morning America, ABC News, NBC News, CNN, Fox News, USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washingtonian, O Magazine, Vogue, Allure, Elle, In-Style, Self, Health, and Cosmopolitan. Dr. Nazanin Saedi is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Thomas Jefferson University, and she serves as Director of Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. She completed her medical education at The George Washington University School of Medicine, where she graduated with distinction and with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Saedi completed her dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine, and she completed her fellowship training at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Dr. Jayant Bhawalkar earned a doctoral degree in Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas and subsequently conducted post-doctoral research in the field of Photonics and Non-linear Optics at SUNY, Buffalo. From 2003 to 2017 Dr. Bhawalkar worked at Candela Corporation in various technical and management roles, most recently Vice president of Research, bringing several successful products to the market, among them the first 1064/532nm commercial picosecond laser. Currently, Dr. Bhawalkar is Chief Technology Officer at AVAVA, Inc., a medical device startup company under the umbrella of Blossom Innovations, Inc. He is currently working to bring to market a new class of lasers that could greatly increase safety in skin of color patients. Dr. Bhawalkar has authored several book chapters, over 40 publications, and has over 10 issued patents. He is currently on the Board of the ASLMS as an Industry Representative and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of the ASLMS as well as for journals published by the Optical Society of America. He is a Fellow of the ASLMS and Senior Member of the Optical Society of America.

Brad Hauser is currently the Chief Product Officer at the Beauty Health Company and the HydraFacial brand since January 2023. Previously, he was President and CEO of Soliton, Inc. since November 2020. Prior to joining Soliton, Mr. Hauser served as the Vice President, R&D and General Manager for CoolSculpting at Allergan Pharmaceuticals since ZELTIQ Aesthetics, Inc. was acquired by Allergan in April 2017. Previously, he served as the Senior Vice President of Research and Development at ZELTIQ Aesthetics, Inc. from January 2017 to April 2017 and as its Vice President of Research and Development from July 2015 to January 2017. Recording of the Tightening, Lifting and Contouring Non-Invasive Approaches (Non-CME) session from the ASLMS 43rd Annual Conference. The session took place Friday, April 12, 2024, from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM EDT, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Room 314.
This course will provide an overview and a critical assessment of the state of the art non-invasive and minimally invasive techniques to achieve skin tightening. He is the founder of Sanctuary Plastic Surgery in Boca Raton, Florida. He is currently adjunct clinical faculty at Cleveland Clinic Florida and Assistant Professor at the University of Miami. Dr. Pozner is a consultant or advisory board member of several laser and aesthetic companies and is actively involved with new product development. Aria Vazirnia, M.D., M.A.S. is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Los Angeles, California. He graduated summa cum laude from UCLA and received his master's degree, his medical degree and his dermatology residency training at UC San Diego. During residency, he served as the ASLMS Resident/Fellow Student Board Representative. Following residency, he went onto pursue an ASDS-accredited fellowship in lasers and cosmetics at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Wellman Center for Photomedicine where he worked with the pioneers and inventors of the energy-based devices that are widely used today.
E. Victor Ross, MD
E. Victor Ross, M.D., CAPT MC, USN (ret) attended Mississippi State University where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in physics. He obtained his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine where he was a junior year inductee into Alpha Omega Alpha. Following internship, Dr. Ross went to Sasebo, Japan as a General Medical Officer. In 1992, he completed a three-year dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. In 1994, he was the first Navy-sponsored fellow in photomedicine and lasers at the Massachusetts General Hospital. While there, he conducted basic research experiments and human clinical trials in photodynamic therapy and novel laser applications in dermatology. He was honored as the 2001 Navy Recipient of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Award for excellence in Military Medicine.
Dr. Ross is presently the director of the Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Center at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He also served on the boards of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (president in 2008), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. His special interests are fractional laser skin rejuvenation, photodynamic therapy, non-ablative skin remodeling, laser management of scars, laser treatment of acne, and laser hair reduction in dark skinned patients. He is the author of over 100 articles and nine book chapters. Presently, Dr. Ross is investigating novel approaches in pigment quantification as well as conducting comparative trials of picosecond laser sources, novel RF technologies in skin rejuvenation, photon recycling, and laser assisted acne treatments.

She has received the Fulbright Scholarship in molecular biology and biotechnology; the Harvard Medical School Dean’s Report, Paul Dudley White Award, Husik Prize, Fitzpatrick Clinical Innovations Award, and Melanie Grossman Award Leadership, Mentorship and Public Advocacy for Women in Medical Science; and grants from the National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute and Radcliffe College. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Dermatologic Association, and achieved the rare status of Double Board-Certification in Dermatology in the European Union and US. She is Associate Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, Adjunct Professor at Sygros Hospital, University of Athens and Founder Director of the Dermatology and Laser Surgery Center in Manhattan and the Hamptons. She is an attending at Yale/New Haven Hospital and Yale/West Haven VA Hospital and has numerous publications and discoveries in the fields of basic science, dermatology and laser surgery. She runs clinical research trials and a basic science laboratory alongside her active skincare MACRENE actives.
She has served on numerous academic and pharmaceutical boards. She is Assistant Editor for Dermatologic Surgery, Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and Editor for Journal of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery and reviewer for over 12 medical journals. She has written a textbook entitled, Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery (Wolters Kluwer Lippincott) and currently in press on her second textbook, Photodynamic Therapy (Elsevier).

Molly Wanner, M.D., M.B.A., is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in laser and cosmetic dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital and is an assistant professor in dermatology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Wanner conducts clinical and basic science research in the areas of cosmetic and laser dermatology. Her research interested include topical cosmetic products and laser and cosmetic devices.
Dr. Wanner has authored numerous scientific publications and is frequently used as a clinical expert source. Dr. Wanner is a board member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Wanner also contributes to popular consumer media.
Shilpi Khetarpal, MD
Shilpi Khetarpal, MD is a fellowship-trained, board-certified dermatologist who is currently an associate professor in dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She completed her undergraduate and medical education through the accelerated, 6-year BS/MD program at Northeast Ohio Medical University. She did her dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a fellowship in lasers and cosmetic surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, MA. Dr. Khetarpal has presented at both local and national professional meetings and has authored numerous book chapters in dermatologic textbooks and published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is actively involved in the Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Ohio Dermatological Association, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Rishi Chopra MD, MS, FAAD is a Harvard fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist practicing at UnionDerm in New York, NY. He completed his advanced laser & aesthetics training at Massachusetts General Hospital and The Wellman Center for Photomedicine. He is recognized as an injectable, laser, and skin-of-color expert, and has been invited to speak at meetings such as the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and Vegas Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Chopra was recognized as Pfizer’s Rising Derm Star in 2021 and a 2023 "4-Under-45 Medical Aesthetic Vanguard”, awarded to four physicians under the age of 45 who have significantly contributed to aesthetic medicine and poised to be the next generation of thought leaders. He has authored over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals including The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, The British Journal of Dermatology, and American Journal of Clinical Dermatology. Dr. Chopra also serves as an expert consultant to a variety of aesthetic device and cosmetic companies, helping develop the next generation of cutting-edge procedures and skincare.
Morgan Murphrey, MD

Morgan Murphrey is a board certified dermatologist, and dermatology fellow in Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Department of Dermatology in Boston, MA. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis, where she served as the chief resident in her final year of training. Before her residency, she attended Creighton University School of Medicine, where she concurrently earned her medical degree and Master's degree in Health Care Ethics. Between her third and fourth year of medical school, she solidified her passion for research and innovation while completing a pre-doctoral research fellowship at Northwestern University, where she participated in both industry and investigator-initiated clinical trials. She grew up in Northern California, and completed her undergraduate education at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where she earned a degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology and French. She is passionate about finding innovative solutions to problems in dermatology.

Recording of the Lifting and Tightening for the Face and Body (Non-CME) session from the ASLMS 43rd Annual Conference. The session took place Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM EDT, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Hall E.
This session will focus on evaluating current non-surgical technologies on the market available for lifting and tightening of face and body. Treatment approaches will include energy-based devices (such as the delivery of ultrasound, radiofrequency, and muscle toning) as well as tissue micro-coring. Particular consideration will be given to proper patient selection, advanced combinations, and optimizing both treatment outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Jennifer MacGregor, MD
Jennifer L. MacGregor, M.D. is a Board Certified dermatologist with fellowship training in cutaneous laser surgery and dermatologic procedures. Before joining UnionDerm in NYC, she was a member of one of the country’s most prominent laser dermatology practices in Washington, DC and directed the Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Center for Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. MacGregor is an Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, followed by a prestigious laser, cosmetic and dermatologic surgery fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Boston. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. MacGregor is a regularly invited speaker at national meetings and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters, including publications in Dermatologic Surgery, The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Drugs and Dermatology and Archives of Dermatology. Her publications and lectures have addressed laser treatment of scars, laser skin resurfacing, skin tightening, treatment of cellulite, and body contouring.
Her most recent work focuses on aesthetic procedures in transgender and nonbinary patients and she was named by Huffington Post as a top NYC Dermatologist to the transgender community. She serves as an expert consultant to pharmaceutical, skjn care and medical device companies as well as industry leaders as an ally in their efforts to support the LGBTQIA+ community using a gender fluid approach to beauty and aesthetics. She is a regular contributor to national beauty media and her ideas and expertise have been highlighted in major outlets including Vogue, NY Magazine, Wormens Health, Cosmopolitan, The Huffington Post, Bustle, ELLE and Good Housekeeping.
Dr. MacGregor serves on the editorial board for Dermatologic Surgery, as a reviewer for multiple journals, as an educator for Columbia University Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical center Dermatology residents and UnionDerm fellowship trainees. Dr. MacGregor’s clinical practice focuses on laser and medical device-based procedures (including skin resurfacing, treatment of birthmarks, vascular lesions, pigmented lesions, tattoos, scars) in combination with injectable neurotoxin, fillers and thread lifting. She also combines novel treatments for body contouring and cellulite and is recognized as a world-class expert on Ultherapy and skin tightening. Her philosophy regarding cosmetic procedures is that her patients should look natural and healthy, but never as if they have had ‘work done’. Dr. Sadeghpour is a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas Collegium V Honors Program and received her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. Following her residency at University of Pittsburgh, where she served as chief resident, Dr. Sadeghpour completed the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS)-accredited fellowship in laser and cosmetic surgery at the renowned SkinCare Physicians in Boston, Massachusetts. During that year, she was the recipient of American Society of Dermatologic Surgery’s (ASDS) Frederic Brandt Grant, where she studied the utility of lasers in treatment of melasma. Her research works have received the American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery Best of Session Abstract Award as well as the ASDS Drs. Alastair and Jean D. Carruthers Research Abstract Award.
Dr. Sadeghpour previously served as the Director of the Center for Skin, Laser, and Cosmetic Surgery at University of Colorado where she led and created an innovative educational curriculum to train physicians-in-training in laser and cosmetic dermatology. She was also the Founder of SkinMed Institute, an innovative private practice in Denver, Colorado where she established a Center of Excellence for treatment of skin conditions in patients with Skin of Color and where she continued to educate medical students and residents in training prior to her moving back to Pittsburgh to be closer to family.Her clinical interests include melasma and disorders of hyperpigmentation, complications and safety in lasers, injectables, and cosmetic surgery techniques, and the utilization of laser medicine as it relates to evidenced-based treatment of dermatologic health and disease. She continues to lecture and teach physicians and residents nationally at academic institutions as well through multiple national societies, where she holds leadership positions.
Omar Ibrahimi, MD, PhD
Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi is the founding and medical director of the Connecticut Skin Institute. He is a board certified Dermatologist who has completed advanced fellowship training in Skin Cancer, Laser and Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Ibrahimi has trained at the most prestigious medical institutions in the country. He is one of the foremost physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of skin cancer, as well as medical and cosmetic issues involving the skin. He has been honored as a Castle-Connolly Top Doctor since 2016 for his outstanding patient care.
Dr. Ibrahimi was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School and then attended New York University for both his undergraduate and medical school education. He is a graduate of the rigorous MD-PhD program and was honored with the Sulzberger award given to the top graduating medical student in dermatology. He then completed his Dermatology training at Harvard Medical School working at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Boston, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Boston Veteran’s Hospital. Omar then completed a fellowship program in Mohs and Reconstructive Surgery, Laser and Cosmetic Surgery at the University of California – Davis.
Dr. Omar Ibrahimi is accredited by the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is well-known nationally and internationally, having been an invited speaker at numerous national meetings, and has written extensively about Mohs Surgery, Laser and Cosmetic Procedures. Dr. Ibrahimi has published many articles on skin cancer surgery, laser and cosmetic procedures in leading medical journals. He has also performed tens of thousands of cases of Mohs Surgery and Laser and Cosmetic procedures. Dr. Ibrahimi has been responsible for unveiling and optimizing many of the latest cosmetic procedures that have hit the market in recent years and his practice is among the first to receive the latest innovations in aesthetic dermatology.
Dr. Ibrahimi has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School in the Wellman Center for Photomedicine. The Wellman Center for Photomedicine is the world’s leading research center, where the majority of today’s laser and cosmetic technologies were invented and tested. He is an active participant in many clinical trials of new technologies. Prior to founding the Connecticut Skin Insititute, Dr. Ibrahimi was also an Assistant Professor of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and Mohs Surgery at the University of Connecticut, and served as the Director of Laser and Cosmetic Surgery.
