Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi is the founding and medical director of the Connecticut Skin Institute. He is a board certified Dermatologist who has completed advanced fellowship training in Skin Cancer, Laser and Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Ibrahimi has trained at the most prestigious medical institutions in the country. He is one of the foremost physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of skin cancer, as well as medical and cosmetic issues involving the skin. He has been honored as a Castle-Connolly Top Doctor since 2016 for his outstanding patient care.

Dr. Ibrahimi was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School and then attended New York University for both his undergraduate and medical school education. He is a graduate of the rigorous MD-PhD program and was honored with the Sulzberger award given to the top graduating medical student in dermatology. He then completed his Dermatology training at Harvard Medical School working at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Boston, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Boston Veteran’s Hospital. Omar then completed a fellowship program in Mohs and Reconstructive Surgery, Laser and Cosmetic Surgery at the University of California – Davis.

Dr. Omar Ibrahimi is accredited by the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is well-known nationally and internationally, having been an invited speaker at numerous national meetings, and has written extensively about Mohs Surgery, Laser and Cosmetic Procedures. Dr. Ibrahimi has published many articles on skin cancer surgery, laser and cosmetic procedures in leading medical journals. Dieter Manstein, M.D., Ph.D. graduated from the University of Münster, Germany. He completed a research fellowship at the Wellman Center of Photomedicine and a special clinical dermatology-training track at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is currently Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School and heads his research laboratory at the Cutaneous Biology Research Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research is focused on innovative use of energy-based devices, mainly within the area of dermatology. Many of the major current device treatments in dermatology are the direct result of his inventions and research. Notable examples are fractional photothermolysis and non-invasive fat removal by cold (selective cryolipolysis). He also contributed significantly to advances in the area of hair removal and laser-tissue interaction. Dr. Manstein received multiple honors and awards, including the Horace Furumoto Innovator Award and the Ellet H. Drake Award from the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Molly Wanner, M.D., M.B.A., is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in laser and cosmetic dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital and is an assistant professor in dermatology at Harvard Medical School. Zeina Tannous, M.D. is a tenured Professor and Chair of Dermatology at the Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine of the Lebanese American University (LAU) and Chief of Dermatology at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital. She is also a Dermatology faculty member at Harvard Medical School. A graduate of the American University of Beirut School of Medicine, Dr. Tannous joined the Harvard Medical School for a Dermatology residency and three fellowships in Dermatopathology, Mohs Micrographic and Dermatologic Surgery, and Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology. She is board certified in the United States in Dermatology and Dermatopathology.
Dr. Tannous has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, chapters, and abstracts. She has also co-authored the Cosmetic and Laser Dermatology textbook which contains over 600 clinical photographs and has been translated to both Korean and Greek. Biography: Dr. Christine C. Dierickx, MD, received her M.D. degree from the medical school program of the University of Leuven, Belgium and completed a dermatology residency at the same university. She then developed clinical expertise in phlebology during a two-year fellowship with Professor Neuman in the Netherlands. Subsequently, she finished a clinical laser fellowship with Dr. R. Fitzpatrick in San Diego, California, and a Mohs fellowship with Dr. F. Mohs in Madison, Wisconsin. During a two-year laser fellowship with Dr. R. Rox Anderson at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University, she developed research laser expertise in various fields. The projects on vascular lesions draw directly upon her research on the thermal relaxation time of ectatic blood vessels. She established the need of millisecond laser pulses for the treatment of vascular lesions and showed that the formation of gentle cavitations driven by a slow photothermal process underlies the destruction of blood vessels with the longer millisecond laser pulses. For this work, she received the Best Basic Science Award of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Subsequently, she became a full-time staff member of the Wellman Laboratories at Harvard. During this time, she conducted research projects with long pulsed ruby and diode lasers for hair removal. She returned to Europe in early 1999, where she is currently in private practice in Luxembourg. She served as Vice president for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery in 2006-2007. In 2013 she was the recipient of the Vasant Orwal Oration van de British Medical Laser Society. In April 2016 she received the Leon Goldman memoriam award from the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She continues to be involved in the development of new applications for energy-based devices as well as new applications for photodynamic therapy. Dr. Dierickx has published and lectured nationally and internationally in the field of laser surgery and photodynamic therapy.

Branislav Lukić, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty expertise in oculoplasty and aesthetic medicine. He is an international educator and invited faculty member at major aesthetic and laser congresses, with a clinical focus on energy-based devices, injectables, and multimodal treatment strategies.

Merete Haedersdal, MD, PhD, DMSc is a clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and director of the Danish Research Center for Skin Cancer. She is a visiting scientist at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, focusing on the project “Laser-Assisted Drug Delivery” in collaboration with Dr. R. Rox Anderson and his team. Dr. Haedersdal received her MD degree from the Medical School program of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and was authorized as a specialist in dermato-venereology in 2004. Dr. Haedersdal received her PhD degree in 1997 and became Dr. of Medical Science in 1999. Her theses covered aspects of side effects from dermatological laser procedures in animal and human experimental studies. Professor Haedersdal has published more than 250 scientific papers and lectures internationally. His career spans the full commercial lifecycle—from pre-revenue startups to $100M+ global business units—and is defined by a consistent and demonstrated ability to build high-performance organizations, deliver against demanding operational and financial targets, and communicate with credibility across clinical, commercial, and investor stakeholder environments.

He has also worked directly with business development leaders in the space, including private equity sponsors, strategics, and early-stage VC's on strategic transactions. Dr. Rox Anderson, MD is the Lancer Endowed Chair in Dermatology and Director of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston MA, where he practices dermatology, teaches and performs research. Many of the medical laser and optical diagnostic systems now in widespread use, stem from research and development in his laboratory. These include lasers that use selective photothermolysis for treatment of cutaneous vascular and pigmented lesions, hair removal, tattoos, scars and acne. Fractional laser treatments, tissue cooling for selective fat reduction, and the first reflectance confocal microscope for human use also came from Dr. Anderson's laboratory. He also contributed to vascular-selective laser treatments in the larynx, and laser lithotripsy. His early work includes basic research on the optics of human tissues, optical radiation transport, and mechanisms of photosensitization. Current work includes new treatments for skin tumors of NF-1 neurofibromatosis, and development of injectable ice for cryolipolysis treatment of pain and sleep apnea. All of these contributions were made possible by teamwork and extensive collaborations, from early resesarch through clinical applications. Dr. Anderson has trained more than 50 full-time MD fellows in dermatology, many students and postdoctoral ressearch fellows, and has contributed about 300 original scientific and clinical research publications. He co-founded, teaches and serves at laser treatment clinics in Vietnam and Armenia that provide free care for children. He is a past president of ASLMS.

Thomas M. Beachkofsky, MD, FAAD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist (American Board of Dermatology) and serves as the Director of the Cutaneous Rehabilation Clinic at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and received his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Subsequently he completed his internship and residency in Dermatology in San Antonio, Texas all while serving on Active Duty as an Officer in the United States Air Force. During training he was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honors society and earned accolades as the distinguished graduate from his transitional internship and served as Chief Resident of his dermatology training program.

He is an experienced medical and procedural dermatologist as well as clinical researcher with extensive training and experience with the use of lasers, lights and energy-based devices. Arlene Ruiz de Luzuriaga is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section of Dermatology, Co-director of the Pigmented Lesion Clinic, and Vice-Chief for Dermatopathology Operations at the University of Chicago. Her clinical focus is on total body photography, dermoscopy, skin cancer surveillance, and melanoma prevention and early detection. She is interested in use of technology for the improvement of patient care, diagnosis and treatment algorithms, quality improvement, and medical education.
Through her role as the Director of Innovation and Digital Technology for the Bucksbaum-Siegler Institute for Clinical Excellence at the University of Chicago, she seeks to support initiatives and research that examine how the patient-doctor relationship is affected by the implementation of digital health technology and artificial intelligence, and how this can serve to guide the development and incorporation of such innovations in healthcare.

Dr Diala Haykal is a Cosmetic and Laser Doctor, running her own specialized clinic and training center, Centre Médical Laser Esthétique Palaiseau, in France, offering patients a wide range of modern cosmetic treatments. She holds a diploma in Aesthetic Medicine and Lasers from Paris V Descartes University. Additionally, she holds an American Board diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, where she is also a trainer and expert in the American Academy of Continuous Education. Dr. Shlomit Halachmi studied chemical engineering and biology at MIT, after which she studied medicine and molecular biology at Harvard Medical School, and completed her dermatology training at the combined Boston University/Tufts University residency program.  In addition to her clinical dermatology experience, which focuses on lasers and other energy-based devices, she has worked in senior positions in drug and medical device development as well as at the FDA.

Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi is the founding and medical director of the Connecticut Skin Institute. He is a board certified Dermatologist who has completed advanced fellowship training in Skin Cancer, Laser and Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Ibrahimi has trained at the most prestigious medical institutions in the country. He is one of the foremost physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of skin cancer, as well as medical and cosmetic issues involving the skin. Dr. Ibrahimi has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School in the Wellman Center for Photomedicine. E. Victor Ross, M.D., CAPT MC, USN (ret) attended Mississippi State University where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in physics. He obtained his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine where he was a junior year inductee into Alpha Omega Alpha. Following internship, Dr. Ross went to Sasebo, Japan as a General Medical Officer. In 1992, he completed a three-year dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. In 1994, he was the first Navy-sponsored fellow in photomedicine and lasers at the Massachusetts General Hospital. While there, he conducted basic research experiments and human clinical trials in photodynamic therapy and novel laser applications in dermatology. He was honored as the 2001 Navy Recipient of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Award for excellence in Military Medicine.

Dr. Ross is presently the director of the Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Center at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He also served on the boards of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (president in 2008), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. His special interests are fractional laser skin rejuvenation, photodynamic therapy, non-ablative skin remodeling, laser management of scars, laser treatment of acne, and laser hair reduction in dark skinned patients. Elizabeth Tanzi, M.D. is an internationally-known author and lecturer on cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous laser surgery. She is the Founder and Director of Capital Laser and Skin Care in suburban Washington, D.C. Dr. Tanzi graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Biochemistry from Hartwick College in New York. She pursued her medical education at Syracuse University School of Medicine where she graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society at the top of her class. Dr. Tanzi completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University, St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York where she served as chief resident. Dr. Tanzi works closely with multiple medical societies to support the progress of dermatologic laser and device-based surgery. Her contributions to the field of dermatology and laser surgery have been featured in many media outlets including The Today Show, Good Morning America, ABC News, NBC News, CNN, Fox News, USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washingtonian, O Magazine, Vogue, Allure, Elle, In-Style, Self, Health, and Cosmopolitan. Dr. Nazanin Saedi is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Thomas Jefferson University, and she serves as Director of Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. She completed her medical education at The George Washington University School of Medicine, where she graduated with distinction and with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Saedi completed her dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine, and she completed her fellowship training at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Dr. Saedi has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She lectures nationally and internationally on laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology.

Mathew M. Avram, MD, JD is the Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Dermatology Laser & Cosmetic Center. He also serves as Director of Laser, Cosmetic, and Dermatologic Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Faculty Director for Laser and Cosmetic Training in the Department of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School, Associate Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School, and co-director of the MGH/Wellman Laser & Cosmetic Fellowship, where he has 32 trained cosmetic dermatology fellows to date.

Dr. Avram is the past president of the ASDS, where he previously served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer. Dr. Avram also served as President of the ASLMS from 2017-2018 and was on the Board of Directors for 10 years. He was the 2015 recipient of the ASLMS Annual Leon Goldman Award for excellence in research, patient care, and education, and he was the 2016 recipient of the ASLMS Annual Ellet Drake Award for innovation in laser surgery. Dr. Fernanda H. Sakamoto, MD, Ph.D is an Assistant Professor in Dermatology at the Harvard Medical School, Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA since 2006. She is a fellow of the AAD, fellow of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), a member of the Société Française de Dermatologie; of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology, of the Brazilian Society of Dermatological Surgery, of the Brazilian Group of Melanoma and of the International Society of Dermoscopy. She is a physician-scientist and board-certified Dermatologist from Brazil. Dr. Sakamoto’s research interests include laser and device therapies, PDT, acne, skin cancer, wound healing, and new material science. Working with translational and clinical sciences in academia and industry is Dr. Sakamoto’s field of interest. Currently her work is focused on the development of new light-based treatments for acne and atopic dermatitis. Dr. Sakamoto is a Co-Director of the Education Committee of the Wellman Center/MGH since 2017 and has served on the ASLMS Education, International Committees, Research and Development Committee and Women in Energy Based Devices Committee of which she was the Chair in 2021. Arisa E. Ortiz, M.D. is the Director of Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology, and an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Diego.  She received training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at UC San Diego and also completed the prestigious cosmetic and laser fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Wellman Center for Photomedicine. Dr. Ortiz completed her dermatology residency training at UC Irvine and Beckman Laser Institute. She has authored over fifty publications and several book chapters. Dr. Ortiz also coedited a textbook on surgical reconstruction. She has presented at international and national conferences and is frequently an invited speaker at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and has won several awards including the Top Doctors Award, and Exceptional Women in Medicine, ASLMS Best of Session Award for Cutaneous Applications, the ASLMS research grant, and the ASDS Cutting Edge Research Grant. Eric F. Bernstein, M.D., M.S.E. received his B.S. from Duke University, summa cum laude with distinction in his major and his M.D. from the Yale University School of Medicine, where he served as Banner Bearer and Class President, and an M.S.E. in Management of Technology from the Engineering School/Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. Following fellowships with the NCI at the NIH and Hahnemann University, he joined Jefferson Medical College, where he directed a photobiology laboratory and served as director of the Laser Surgery Center. Dr. Bernstein holds 14 U.S. patents, has authored over 100 scientific publications, and has given numerous presentations.

Dr. Bernstein currently directs Main Line Center for laser Surgery, an aesthetic laser practice in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, and proudly served as president of the ASLMS. A recently retired nurse practitioner for the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California, Rebecca earned her nurse practitioner/physician assistant certificate at the University of California, Davis. She is involved in peer and public education and speaks at professional organizations. Rebecca is a fellow member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Dermatologic Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a recipient of ASLMS 2006 and 2019 Excellence in Nursing/Allied Health Award. She served as Section Chair for the 2009-2010, 2019-2020 ASLMS Nursing/Allied Health conference. Rebecca recently served a three-year term on the Board of Directors as a representative of Nursing/Allied Health section of ASLMS. Barb Humphreys is the head nurse and clinic director for the Remington Laser Dermatology Centre in Calgary, Alberta CANADA. She has the priviledge to work directly with both Dr. Kent and his son Dr. Todd Remington who continue to be the leading laser experts in Canada after opening the first laser clinic in Canada in 1979. She is an active member of the Vascular Birthmark Foundation (VBF) and was honored to involved in the joint ASLMS/VBF partnership to develop uniform consensus guidelines for the safe and effective laser treatment of vascular birthmarks in 2022. In practice, she is the leading nurse provider for vascular birthmarks and treats patients from all over Western Canada. She understands the importance of early intervention and looks for ways to educate families and medical professionals, and advocate for the access to and coverage for these potentially life changing treatments. Barb also has a speciality and special interest in treating all types scarring including surgical, traumatic, acne and especially burn scars. She has found that being a member of ASLMS continues to provide access to the most innovate techniques, using the state of the art laser technologies, from leading experts from around the world.

John began his clinical experience at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1998. He is now the administrator of the UT program (now some 300+ lasers strong) including the disciplines of medical/surgical specialties including Cardio-Thoracic, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oral Surgery, Orthopedics, Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, General and Neurologic Surgery. With his academic and developmental involvement in light medicine John has a unique ability to gauge and review most of the new and emerging light and noninvasive technologies being brought to bear in today’s ever changing surgical/clinical world. Patti Owens provides consultation services in the areas of medical safety programs along with medical compliance services. She has been an active member of AORN for 29 years, and presently, Patti is serving as the President of the eChapter for the 2023 – 2024 term. In addition, Patti is the AORN representative on the ANSI SSC-3 “Safe Use of Lasers in Health Care.” She was also selected as a Subject Matter Expert for the 2021 new AORN “Guideline for Laser Safety.” In addition, Patti is the recipient of the 2020 AORN Outstanding Achievement in Perioperative Clinical Nursing Practice award.

She has been the Nursing/Allied Health Chairperson of ASLMS and, in 1999 and 2014, received the Nurse Excellence Award. She served three years as the ASLMS Nursing-Allied Health Representative to the Board and was the Laser Safety Officer for 2019-2022. Patti is a national consultant for various laser companies and professional organizations, including an appointment as the principal medical and aesthetic instructor for Rockwell Laser Industries. Patti is an active member of the ANSI Z136.3 committee, where she has been appointed as the acting Secretary. She also serves as a member of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) TC 76 WG4 and WG12.

Patti Owens works with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon and has acted as a perioperative nurse, aesthetic practitioner, Compliance Officer and Administrative Assistant in Rancho Mirage, CA. Patti’s previous employer for 11 years was with a Dermatologist in Olympia, WA. She acted as the Aesthetic Laser Manager, LSO, and laser practitioner. Patti’s past employment also includes 15 years as the Laser Manager at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA. Her responsibilities included program development and supervision of 13 laser systems, implementation of the laser perioperative role, development of an aesthetic laser in-house and mobile program, and enforcement of safety policies as the facility’s acting LSO.

My passion for education is reinforced by my certification with the Canadian Board of Educators and a wealth of experience training and mentoring professionals worldwide. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Science (Biology) and a certification in aesthetics, along with numerous other licenses and credentials. Driven by a deep thirst for knowledge, I continually update my skills through advanced training and workshops, ensuring I stay at the forefront of innovations in the aesthetic field.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in research and development, collaborating with R&D teams to pioneer and optimize cutting-edge aesthetic devices. I have managed numerous clinical research projects, driving advancements in energy-based medicine.

As a Certified Medical Laser Safety Officer (BLS), I am a recognized authority in laser and energy-based technologies. I lecture internationally, sharing my expertise to elevate safety standards and treatment outcomes across the globe.

My greatest passion lies in empowering others—whether through helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals, advancing the skills of my peers, nurturing the growth of emerging professionals, or championing the leadership of women in the aesthetics industry.

Jill S. Waibel, MD, practices as a board-certified dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, cutaneous laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology for adults and children. She is in private practice in Miami, Florida, and Coral Gables, Florida. She is currently the medical director and owner of the Miami Dermatology and Laser Institute in Miami. Dr. Waibel is the subsection chief of Dermatology at Baptist Hospital. In addition, Dr. Waibel serves as a Clinical Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami. She is a world-recognized leader in dermatologic laser surgery and lectures worldwide to train other physicians. In her practice, she has over 40 laser devices and treats a wide variety of cutaneous diseases. Dr. Waibel is active in basic science clinical trials at the University of Miami and has a clinical trials division at Miami Dermatology and Research. One of Dr. Waibel’s primary passions is the treatment of scars by applying today’s latest cutaneous laser technologies. She has successfully developed industry-leading procedures and techniques with lasers, received numerous awards for her contributions to medicine, and published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and several textbook chapters. She was named “Person of the Week” on ABC World News Tonight in 2015 and was recently granted a Cutting Edge Research Grant by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to medicine, including an award given by Surgeon General Koop. The 2016 JDD Humanitarian Award has been given to Dr. Waibel for her innovative work in using lasers to treat patients with traumatic burn injuries. Dr. Waibel lectures, collaborates, and trains military physicians to help the wounded warriors. Dr. Waibel makes her home in Coral Gables with her husband and four children.

Molly Wanner, M.D., M.B.A., is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in laser and cosmetic dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital and is an assistant professor in dermatology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Wanner conducts clinical and basic science research in the areas of cosmetic and laser dermatology. Her research interested include the impact of laser and EBD on tissue biology and vascular treatments and imaging.

Dr. Wanner has authored numerous scientific publications and is frequently cited as a clinical expert. Dr. Wanner is a board member and treasurer of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Wanner also contributes to popular consumer media.

Dr. Wanner graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Beta Gamma Sigma from Columbia University business school. At Columbia, she received the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) achievement citation and the F. Lowenfish Prize for dermatology research. She completed her residency training in dermatology at Columbia University Medical Center and served as Chief Resident. She was a fellow in laser and cosmetic dermatology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Wellman Center for Photomedicine.

Dr. Ellen Marmur is a dermatologic surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in laser medicine, photodynamic therapy, and energy-based devices. She is the Founder and CEO of Marmur Medical and MMSkincare, and the inventor of MMSphere, an FDA-cleared, patented LED system recognized as the #1 dermatologist-invented LED device. A leader in green LED light therapy, Dr. Marmur’s translational research—conducted in collaboration with Rockefeller University’s RNA Sequencing Lab—demonstrates molecular changes associated with reduced inflammation and enhanced wound-healing pathways. She is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai and has served in national leadership roles within ASDS and AAD, including Scientific Chair of ASDS and prior Chair of Philanthropy. She has raised over $2.8 million for skin cancer prevention initiatives.

David M. Ozog, currently serves as Chair, Department of Dermatology and holds the C.S. Livingood Chair in Dermatology, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. He is also an active Mohs surgeon and Director of Cosmetic Dermatology. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where he was a James B. Angell 4.0 GPA Scholar, completed post baccalaureate work at Bryn Mawr in Philadelphia and his medical degree from University of Rochester Medical School, Rochester, New York, where he was awarded AOA honors society. He completed his dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, in Detroit, where he served as Chief Resident. His Mohs, Cosmetic and Procedural fellowship was with Dr. Ron Moy at UCLA Medical Center and Moy-Fincher Medical Group, in Beverly Hills, CA. He has published more than 90 articles and book chapters and has given hundreds of lectures nationally and internationally in various facets of procedural dermatology. His textbook, co-edited with Joel Cohen, Botulinum Toxins: Cosmetic and Clinical Applications, was published in 2017. Dr Ozog has directed sessions at the American Academy of Dermatology's annual meeting for several years. He was a member of the AAD coding committee, and he currently serves on the AAD Scientific Assembly Committee for a six-year term. He is scheduled to chair both Summer and Annual AAD meetings. He is also an editorial board member of JAMA Dermatology and an assistant editor of Dermatologic Surgery. His active research interests include cutaneous oncology, scarring prevention and treatment, botulinum toxins, as well as laser delivery for cosmetic and malignant conditions. He has trained more than 76 residents in dermatological surgery and was chosen by the residents as “Teacher of the Year.” Dr Ozog has taught hands on workshops nationally for the American Society for Dermatological Surgery, and he is co-director of the cadaver lab at Henry Ford. He enjoys biking and spending time with his wife Dawnmarie and their three children. Although his research group successfully pivoted to COVID work during the pandemic, he is thrilled to return to lasers and oncology, leaving spike proteins behind (hopefully forever).

Dr. Rox Anderson, MD is the Lancer Endowed Chair in Dermatology and Director of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston MA, where he practices dermatology, teaches and performs research. Many of the medical laser and optical diagnostic systems now in widespread use, stem from research and development in his laboratory. These include lasers that use selective photothermolysis for treatment of cutaneous vascular and pigmented lesions, hair removal, tattoos, scars and acne. Fractional laser treatments, tissue cooling for selective fat reduction, and the first reflectance confocal microscope for human use also came from Dr. Anderson's laboratory. He also contributed to vascular-selective laser treatments in the larynx, and laser lithotripsy. His early work includes basic research on the optics of human tissues, optical radiation transport, and mechanisms of photosensitization. Current work includes new treatments for skin tumors of NF-1 neurofibromatosis, and development of injectable ice for cryolipolysis treatment of pain and sleep apnea. All of these contributions were made possible by teamwork and extensive collaborations, from early resesarch through clinical applications. Dr. Anderson has trained more than 50 full-time MD fellows in dermatology, many students and postdoctoral ressearch fellows, and has contributed about 300 original scientific and clinical research publications. He co-founded, teaches and serves at laser treatment clinics in Vietnam and Armenia that provide free care for children. He is a past president of ASLMS.

Dr. Robert A. Weiss, MD, FAAD has served as President of three major dermatology and laser organizations and has served or is currently serving on Medical Advisory Boards of numerous companies in the aesthetic dermatology field. He is former Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and currently is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Maryland. His education included Columbia University, BA, Johns Hopkins U School of Medicine, MD and fellowship training in dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also sought additional fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health, Immunology Division. Besides serving as President of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Phlebology, he remains very active in teaching for ASDS, ASLMS, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Weiss has also served multiple years on the Board of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Weiss has been a featured speaker for the AAD, ASDS, and ASLMS for over 25 years, as well as speaking at many other national and international dermatology and cosmetic societies. He has received numerous international awards of recognition. A prolific author of over 150 peer reviewed articles and a dozen textbooks including “Vein Diagnosis & Treatment: A Comprehensive Approach,” published by McGraw-Hill, and “Cosmetic Dermatology.”
Dr. Weiss has also served on the American Board of Dermatology, preparing questions for board certification of dermatologists. He is currently Fellowship Director of the ASDS cosmetic fellowship and mentors dermatology fellows in lasers, filler, botulinums and advanced vein treatments at the Maryland Dermatology, Laser, Skin and Vein Institute in Baltimore. Dr. Weiss also holds multiple patents for medical devices and biotechnologies. His expertise on cosmetic dermatology innovations has led to his appearances on TV shows such as “20/20” and “The Today Show.” Dr. Weiss has served as Assistant and Contributing Editor for the journal Dermatologic Surgery and Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. Dr. Weiss’ actively researches novel lasers and light sources for the treatment of photoaging, vascular lesions, and pigmented lesions as well as fillers and botulinum toxins. He has helped to develop new methods of non-invasive varicose vein treatments, such as endovenous ablation to replace stripping, and assisted with research leading to FDA clearance of newest methods of reversing photoaging by lasers and light sources. Dr. Weiss is actively participating as Principle Investigator in phase II and phase III FDA clinical trials for botulinums, fillers, lasers, energy based devices and dermatologic conditions such as eczema and vitiligo. Dr. Weiss receives frequent media requests for his opinions on the newest cosmetic treatments and devices. He is currently Director of Maryland Dermatology, Laser, Skin & Vein Institute funded in 1991.

Jared Jagdeo, M.D., M.S., is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Center for Photomedicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. Dr. Jagdeo established the Laser, Aesthetics and Body Institute to bring state-of-the-art laser technology and comprehensive cosmetic services for dermatology patients at SUNY Downstate. As a leader in the field of lasers and light-based medicine, he is dedicated to providing world-class, compassionate care to his patients and to helping them achieve their skincare and aesthetic goals.

As a physician-scientist, his research focuses include cutaneous photobiology, wound healing, fibrosis, skin cancer, immunology, and procedural dermatology. He has co-authored approximately 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as edited several books and co-authored book chapters. Dr. Jagdeo has received awards and honors, including the NIH-UC Davis CTSC K12 Mentored Career Development Award, NIH-UC Davis Innovation Grant, designation as an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Future Leader, the Laser Florence Young Dermatologist Abstract Competition 1st Place Winner and the Dr. Horace Furumoto Innovations Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.

Paul M. Friedman, MD, board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, is the director of Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center of Houston, Texas, and also practices at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York. He was educated in dermatology at the New York University School of Medicine where he served as chief resident and was twice awarded the prestigious Husik Prize for his research in dermatologic surgery. He completed a one-year fellowship in dermatologic laser surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery & cutaneous oncology at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York and was the recipient of the Young Investigator's Writing Competition Award of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). Dr. Friedman is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical School, department of dermatology, and a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at the Weill Cornell Medical College, Houston Methodist Hospital. He is also on staff at Texas Children's Hospital and Memorial-Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center. Dr. Friedman is a fellowship director for the ASDS-accredited cosmetic dermatologic surgery fellowship training program and also serves as faculty for the Procedural Dermatology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Friedman has been a featured speaker of ASDS, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and other national and international audiences. He recently served as past President of ASLMS and was awarded the prestigious Leon Goldman Memorial Award at the 2019 ASLMS Annual Conference. Dr. Friedman has published over 100 medical articles and book chapters and co-authored the book Beautiful Skin Revealed: The Ultimate Guide to Better Skin. He is co-Editor of the textbook Lasers and Light Source Treatment For The Skin and serves on the Editorial Board of the journal Dermatologic Surgery. He has been featured in numerous national media outlets and is a frequent guest on Doctor Radio’s Dermatology Show. Dr. Friedman has been recognized as a leading physician and researcher in the field and has also been involved in the development of several new laser systems and therapeutic techniques now commonly used throughout the world.

Dr. Kristen M. Kelly is a board certified dermatologist and Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the University of California (UC), Irvine. She attended UC Los Angeles as an undergraduate and medical student. She completed an internal medicine internship and then a dermatology residency at UC Irvine. After residency, Dr. Kelly was a fellow in photomedicine and biomedical optics at the Beckman Laser Institute and then obtained an academic appointment in the departments of dermatology and surgery at UC Irvine. In 2021, she started in her position as the first female Chair for the Department of Dermatology at UC Irvine. Her research has helped to optimize cutaneous vascular lesion treatment, evaluate cutaneous angiogenesis, and develop and evaluate novel dermatologic light based imaging and therapeutic options. She works with a number of patient advocacy groups including The Sturge Weber Foundation and The Vascular Birthmark Foundation. She has given over 300 lectures at local, national and international conferences and events and has authored over 140 scientific papers and 19 book chapters. Dr. Kelly is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and her research has been funded by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Sturge Weber Foundation, Dermatology Foundation and National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Arielle Kauvar is the founding director of New York Laser & Skin Care, a private practice specializing in laser surgery, Mohs surgery, cosmetic dermatology and clinical research, and a clinical professor of dermatology at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where she teaches advanced dermatologic surgery.  She is a board-certified dermatologist and a leading authority on laser technology, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation and skin cancer treatment.

A high honors graduate of Princeton University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi, Dr. Kauvar received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Health Science and Technology program.  She completed her dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and laser surgery.  

Dr. Kauvar has pioneered many laser and device-based treatments and remains actively engaged in the development of new technology and clinical research.  She has served as principal investigator in over 50 clinical trials in all phases of development and the FDA approval process.  She is the author of over one hundred publications, including manuscripts, book chapters and a comprehensive textbook on laser surgery.  She lectures at national and international scientific meetings, is frequently interviewed by the media and is a consultant to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.  She has served on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery and is a past president of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.   

Dr. Kauvar received the Castle and Connolly Top Doctors award and the Super Doctor in dermatology award for many years, as well as the Elle magazine Beauty Genius Award for her innovation in laser surgery.  She is a recipient of the President’s Award from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and multiple Presidential Citations from the American Academy of Dermatology.  A native New Yorker, Dr. Kauvar developed an early interest in art and science and brings the perspective of a scientist and skill of an artist to her patient care.

Whether treating birthmarks, skin cancer, scars, wrinkles or acne, Dr. Kauvar is passionate about helping people improve their lives by achieving healthy, natural-appearing, beautiful skin.  She lives in Westchester County, where she and her husband raised their three sons and enjoys art, photography, cooking, hiking and traveling.

Jessica Labadie, MD, FAAD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cosmetic, surgical and general dermatologist. She is the Director of Lasers and Cosmetic Surgery and an assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Dr. Labadie graduated with honors from Brown University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Neuroscience. Dr. Labadie received her medical degree from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society and graduated at the top of her class with distinctions in research, leadership and service.

Dr. Labadie went on to complete her Dermatology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Subsequently, she completed advanced clinical training in Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts under the mentorship of world experts and thought leaders: Drs. Jeffrey Dover, Kenneth Arndt, Michael Kaminer and Thomas Rohrer.

Dr. Labadie has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, academic poster presentations, oral abstracts, and lectures on cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. She has served on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) and currently serves on the Board of the Association of Academic Cosmetic Dermatologists (AACD).

Dr. Labadie’s practice focuses on cosmetic, surgical and general dermatology while placing a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care and individualized treatment plans. In addition to her patients, she is passionate about teaching and research.

Mary Dick, MD, is a fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologic surgeon who completed her ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at the Dermatology and Laser Surgery Center in Houston, TX. She earned her medical degree from Creighton University and her dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Dick has a strong background in procedural and aesthetic dermatology, with expertise in laser and energy-based devices and injectables. She has presented at national conferences, including AAD, ASDS, and ASLMS, and has authored book chapters and peer-reviewed publications on laser technology and medical dermatology.

Dr. Emily L. Guo is a board-certified cosmetic and general dermatologist in private practice at Dermatology and Laser Surgery Center in Houston, Texas. She attended The University of Texas at Austin with the Dedman Merit Scholarship, awarded to the top 1% of students in the nation. She went on to earn her MD at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, graduating with honors. Dr. Guo completed her Dermatology residency training at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident her final year. Dr. Guo is passionate about teaching the next generation of medical students and residents and was nominated by Georgetown University for the String of Pearls Award for excellence in teaching.

After residency, Dr. Guo was thrilled to return to Houston having been personally selected by Dr. Paul Friedman to complete a prestigious ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery fellowship. She has extensive training in lasers, energy based devices, and injectable treatments. Dr. Guo is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has presented at national and regional dermatology conferences and is well published in peer-reviewed journals. She is active in the American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and Skin of Color Society.
