The most advanced technology and protocols for non-invasive body contouring, muscle stimulation, and skin tightening will be presented during this session. A fundamental knowledge of the devices in the space will allow the attendee to gain the most out of the session, as a basic review of treatments will not be included. Ample time will be allotted for questions and discussion.

Elizabeth Tanzi, MD, FAAD
Elizabeth Tanzi, M.D. is an internationally-known author and lecturer on cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous laser surgery. She is the Founder and Director of Capital Laser and Skin Care in suburban Washington, D.C. Dr. Tanzi graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Biochemistry from Hartwick College in New York. She pursued her medical education at Syracuse University School of Medicine where she graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society at the top of her class. Dr. Tanzi completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University, St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York where she served as chief resident. Dr. Tanzi works closely with multiple medical societies to support the progress of dermatologic laser and device-based surgery. She served on the Executive Board as Secretary of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery from 2012-2015 after completing three years on their Board of Directors. She actively serves on the Development and Industry Advisory Counsel for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Tanzi has published over 50 original medical articles and chapters and has been involved with the development of several new laser systems and therapeutic techniques that are now used routinely by physicians around the world. She is an annual invited speaker at the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She actively serves as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, Journal of Cutaneous Laser Therapy, and The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and serves as an editor for Dermatologic Surgery. Throughout her career, she has received numerous honors and awards for her work in the field of dermatologic surgery including the Cutting Edge Research Grant from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Writing Competition, and the chairperson of the Dermatology/Plastic Surgery section for the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery Annual Meeting in 2006 and 2012. Her contributions to the field of dermatology and laser surgery have been featured in many media outlets including The Today Show, Good Morning America, ABC News, NBC News, CNN, Fox News, USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washingtonian, O Magazine, Vogue, Allure, Elle, In-Style, Self, Health, and Cosmopolitan. Dr. Tanzi was inducted into the American Dermatological Association in 2020.

Carolyn Jacob, MD, FAAD

Dr. Carolyn I. Jacob, the Founder and Medical director of Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology, is a board-certified dermatologist and a Harvard-trained cosmetic and laser surgeon. She is an associate clinical instructor in Dermatology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Jacob’s services and areas of expertise include lasers for skin rejuvenation, hair removal, injectable aesthetics, sclerotherapy, tumescent liposuction, non-surgical fat reduction, hyperhidrosis treatments and therapies for photoaging. Dr. Jacob graduated with High Honors (suma cum laude) from Indiana University and earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She was chief resident of dermatology at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and completed a cosmetic and laser surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School in 2000. Her research activities include the investigation and outcomes of various lasers, non-surgical body contouring devices, cellulite treatment, radiofrequency devices, botulinum toxin and products for skin rejuvenation. She has published over 30 articles and 12 book chapters on dermatology and cosmetic and laser therapies. She is a well known authority on medical skin treatments and speaks in both national and international professional meetings. She has been featured on Dr. Oz, ABC's 2020, ABC 7 news Chicago, Fox news Chicago, WGN Chicago, CBS Chicago, Windy City Live, and has been quoted in numerous magazines including Self, Allure, Women's Health, Better Homes and Garden, Esquire and Instyle. When she is not busy seeing patients and running her practice, she spends time with her 3 young children and very understanding husband.

Nazanin Saedi, MD
Dr. Nazanin Saedi is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Thomas Jefferson University, and she serves as Director of Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. She completed her medical education at The George Washington University School of Medicine, where she graduated with distinction and with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Saedi completed her dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine, and she completed her fellowship training at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Dr. Saedi has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She lectures nationally and internationally on laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
